To increase the utilization of underutilised african yam bean seeds
The challenge
Protein deficiency, Change in mindset of consumer towards protein source as they thought protein rich product are only for body building, environment friendly product , economically available for every consumer, special efforts for product for age group of children to protect them from disease like kwashiorkor.
The solution
The protein content in yam bean seeds is good enough as per requirement. We are working on a snack based product out of it with a special consideration towards children , which not only will give something to digest but also communicates the need of protein in their lives with some services ( on which we are working).
